The Arts Society

Wimborne Arts Society is a member of the National Arts Society, an organisation of over 90,000 members and recognised as a significant force within the art world.

Our aim is to promote, within a friendly warm atmosphere, a society of members with a common interest in the appreciation of the arts in all its forms and its continuing preservation.

We enjoy lectures from excellent speakers, often amusing, and all experts in their chosen fields of the arts. These include topics on artists, architecture, archaeology and music to name but a few. Our policy is to have a varied programme each year with suggested topics from our members. Visitors are made especially welcome. We also hold social events and organise trips for members during the year.

Well Connected

We maintain close contacts both with The Arts Society 'mother ship' in London and with the Wessex Area organisation, through which we benefit from advice and are able to take part in many joint national and local activities.

The Arts Society

The Arts Society offers enjoyable opportunities to discover and support the arts of yesterday, today and tomorrow, wherever you are.

Wessex Area

The Wessex Area member societies are supported by an Area Team comprising members with a wide range of experience and knowledge, and a locally elected Chairman
